chakras

Chakra is a Sanskrit term meaning wheel or circle. This means the subtle energy centers of our body, in which an exchange between the different energies of the human being and that of the cosmos takes place, or between the coarse and the subtle. You can imagine them as energy vortices that are in permanent circular motion.

Most teachings assume that every human being has seven main chakras. They are often depicted as flowers.

The functions of the chakras are different, diverse and finely tuned to each other. They show the possibilities of the human development process - from the self-centered child (root chakra) to the wise old man (crown chakra). They have the function of psychogenic nerve centers that reflect and at the same time stimulate the form and content of our existence.

Each chakra is responsible for a very specific energy frequency and quality as well as for the corresponding level of consciousness. But they also correlate with the different tissue structures, with body glands and organs, with our psyche and with our behavior. Each chakra is associated with a specific syllable, color, element and symbol. The petals in the illustrations show how many nadis branch off from the respective chakra. (Nadis are subtle channels that run throughout the body and carry energy.)

Man is in a state of absolute balance when all chakras are fully open. But often we are blocked in some chakras, then the chakras are smaller or even almost closed. These blockages are accompanied by physical and/or psychological complaints or ailments.

With certain techniques it is possible to feel, see or stimulate and open the chakras. It is particularly popular to activate the chakras using certain stones.

When chakras keep closing, the cause needs to be found and eliminated. This requires the cooperation of the person concerned - yes, changing certain circumstances is usually unavoidable
